“From a project perspective, it went really well and the editorial team and ESMO were pleased with the result. The papers were well received on site and the print run increased.”

Following our success in 2012, Scientia Scripta once again supported TMC Strategic Communications in the production of a conference newspaper for the European Society of Medical Oncology’s (ESMO’s) biannual congress. We also produced articles for the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Week in Vienna.

Congress Daily for ESMO

Deborah worked with a variety of source materials – from embargoed abstracts and scientific papers to press releases and corporate announcements – to develop engaging newspaper articles. Throughout this time she wrote a wide range of articles, including news stories on late breaking research results, short announcements on scientific findings, reports on plenary meetings and corporate texts.

On site, Deborah worked with the newspaper team to report on talks and meet daily print deadlines.

The Congress Daily newspaper was popular with oncologists and clinicians attending the congress. The first edition flew off the shelves and the print run was increased by several thousand copies. Flick through each of the four newspaper editions.

Deborah was ‘new’ to the team and she managed this well. She remained calm throughout the duration of the project and worked well with the two young oncologists to prepare articles.”

UEG Week News

Our articles ranged in length and content, from reports on plenary sessions to late breaking abstracts. All drafts were checked for accuracy and polished to maintain an engaging tone of voice.
