Key skills: website content; case studies; liaising with scientists; work flows.

The EU-funded project Opening Up has explored how local government can be more open for citizens and business. Project partners from the North Sea region have trialled a variety of technologies and approaches and shared best practice in social media and open data.

Scientia Scripta developed a range of communications materials to disseminate project results to an audience of stakeholders, governments and citizens.

We sifted through a substantial quantity of project reports, documentation and summaries to develop “stories” to illustrate particular themes and highlight key project outputs. We transformed these stories into promotional flyers and engaging website content.

We integrated our workflows into the project’s own Google Drive repository, so all partners had access to our drafts; they could track and comment on our work.

The final content was used at Opening Up’s conference in early December 2014 and now forms the core text in the project’s website, which will acts as an important channel to disseminate the findings of the project to a wider audience.
